About Me
Jeff McCoy has worked as a newspaper reporter for years, covering stories across the U.S. and overseas. Those mud and blood assignments had an impact on him. Watching the suffering and death of others made him realize what was important in life, and what was not.
He has experience as a stockbroker, but most of his adult life has been spent behind one camera or another, including time in the movie business. Writing scripts, short stories, and novels was something that he did to step out of his high-stress world for a few hours. It was an escape. Writing news articles came easily, but it required a heavy mental toll. Sometimes writing a newspaper article about the oppressed would cause some relief to the least, the lost, and the forgotten.
At other times, it made no difference at all.
Often, a newspaper reporter is the court of last resort. He loved it when he could shine a light into the darkness of corruption or help the working man right a wrong, but he still carries the memories of the tragedies of those lost but not forgotten.
Today, he enjoys his time writing stories in his Appalachian home.

Yesterday, I crossed the 30,000-word mark on my new book, Finding Bobby. It is the second book in the Finding Anna series. I never considered writing a sequel to Finding Anna, but the first question a few readers asked me was, "When will the next book be out?"
I have also written many movie scripts before, during, and after my years-long career in Hollywood. I love writing those. They are easier to write.
So I have placed other books on the back burner to complete the story about where life takes Bobby Wallace next.
So here we go......

It's been a while.
I finished the book Finding Bobby in the first week of July. It is now in the hands of editors and pre-release readers.
I hope you like this second installment in the Finding Anna series. This one is longer, coming in over 102,000 words.
This time, Bobby stays in the U.S. but embarks on a major adventure as he uncovers a significant story about a criminal enterprise involved in human trafficking. Through it all, he still wants to return to the war front. He struggles with PTSD and depression. He turns to alcohol but finds that it doesn't fix anything. Can Bobby survive in his new world? Will it make it back overseas to a war? Finding Bobby - coming soon!
